Our patent pending RailCore features an expandable CAN Network! Each module is equipped with a CAN chip, just like in automotive systems, allowing real-time data exchange across modules. Is the kit suitable for beginners with no prior experience?

Yes, the kit is designed for users of all skill levels. It includes a comprehensive assembly manual, engaging educational games, and dynamic animated videos to guide you through the building process.

What safety features are incorporated into the kit?

Safety is a top priority. The kit includes a built-in fire extinguisher inside the battery and offers safety and riding tutorial videos to ensure a secure experience. We also have a Release of Liability Waiver available for all organizations using Lectec.

How fast can it go and what is its range?

After assembly, the skateboard can reach 8mph and the scooter 10mph. Both have a range of approximately 3 miles on a full charge (per battery). One battery is included in the kit as standard and more batteries can be purchased. They must be purchased at the time of ordering the kit. You cannot use 1 old battery and 1 new battery at the same time.

What is the estimated time required to assemble the vehicle?

The assembly process typically takes between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your experience level. It is great to do as a family activity!

What's included in the kit?

The kit provides all necessary parts and tools to build your own electric vehicle. You'll also find everything you need to ride, including a remote, battery charger, and remote charger. Helmet, wrist guards, and elbow pads sold seperately. 

How is this kit educational?

The kit offers a hands-on approach to learning STEM concepts by guiding you through building an electric vehicle. It covers topics like motors, pulleys, batteries, and basic electronics, making complex ideas easy to understand. Plus, the online platform includes interactive content and customization options to enhance learning.

What real-time data will be available?

  • Power output (W) from the motor

  • Speed of the motor (ERPM)

  • Current (A) drawn from the battery

  • Current (A) flowing through the motor

  • Temperature of the motor itself (°C)

  • Count of motor’s rotations (helpful to measure distance)

  • Wh / Ah drawn from the battery (reflecting the total energy consumed over time).

  • Wh / Ah charged back to the battery (amount of energy returned to the battery during regenerative braking)
