Albuquerque Public Schools Foundation:

Classroom & Grade Level Learning

Award Amount: $500 – $5,000

Classroom grants in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), fine arts and literacy, ranging from $1,500 for a single classroom and $5,000 for a team of multiple classrooms.

TENNESSEE

Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) is sponsoring a $5,000 grant for a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics classroom. The goal of the grant, designated for grades K–12, is to foster advancement of STEM activities in the classroom and to help develop Y-12’s future workforce. CNS manages and operates the Y-12 National Security Complex for the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Oct. 4, 2024. Educators who are immediate family members of Y-12 employees are not eligible to apply for or receive a grant.

Y-12 staff will evaluate the grant applications and make recommendations for grant allocations.

Grants will be awarded during Nuclear Science Week, Oct. 21–25, and all funds must be spent in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network and STEMx network, managed by Battelle, are pleased to announce the 2021-22 K-12 classroom STEM grant program sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Authority in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Incorporated (a TVA retiree organization).

The grant application is open now at www.tsin.org/classroom-grants and will remain open until October 18, 2021. Applications should highlight STEM projects that are unique, innovative, and creative ideas that incorporate design thinking and promote 21st century skills. Points are awarded for projects that enhance college and career readiness and that are both collaborative and interdisciplinary across subjects and/or grades. Applicants are encouraged to involve community partners in their projects and to expose students to real-world careers and in-demand skills.
WEST VIRGINIA
Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) is currently accepting applications from non-profit organizations for the following grant programs: YCF Educator Mini-Grants, S.T.E.M. for Girls Fund, Stephen D. Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund, Taylor County Charitable Interest Fund, and the Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia. Applications are due by Sept. 23, 2024. Brief descriptions of each grant program are outlined below, with full eligibility criteria and application instructions available at www.ycfwv.org. Awards will be announced and distributed in November.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The AIAA Foundation believes that one of the most significant means to inspire and advance the future of Aerospace is to fund grants to meet the unmet and unfunded educational need of students. Each school year, AIAA awards grants of up to $500 to worthy projects that significantly influence student learning.

Grant Rules
  • A clear connection to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) with an emphasis on Aerospace must be included in the grant proposal.
  • Applicants must be a K-12 classroom teacher with funds that will be paid to the school.
  • Applicants must be current AIAA Educator Associate members prior to receiving this grant.

  • Each school is limited to up to 2 grants per calendar year.
  • Funds must be spent on the items proposed in the original application.
Funding will be considered for the following materials
  • Classroom STEM demonstration kits
  • Classroom STEM supplies
  • K-12 STEM software
  • Math manipulative materials
  • Parts and supplies for making flying objects
  • Parts and supplies for robotics programs

The STEM Action Grant program provides small grants of up to $5,000 to innovative nonprofit organizations led by social entrepreneurs

The STEM Action Grant program aims to bolster and support community-driven nonprofit organizations that are working to enhance the public’s understanding of science and to increase participation of underrepresented populations in STEM fields. Since 2016 the STEM Action Grant program has awarded over $828,000 to a total of 113 organizations wanting to improve access to STEM education.
